 Section 18004 of the CARES Act calls for reporting of Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) on a predefined schedule.

The Department of Education has asked that schools provide transparency of it’s use of this aid by providing information via their websites. They have asked that the following information be provided to the public.

Bell Mar Beauty College as signed and returned a Certification and Agreement. Bell Mar Beauty College has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

Bell Mar Beauty College has received $56,987 for emergency financial aid grants to students.

As of 10/1/20 we have distributed $34,933 to students.

We estimate 44 of our students were potentially eligible for aid under the current Department of Education guidance. Of these, 40 students have been provided aid under section 18004(1)(1) of the CARES act as of today.

Aid to each student was calculated as $550+((contracted hours - scheduled hours)/contracted hours)*$550. This provided a potential $1,100 for a student who had enrolled but had not been scheduled to complete any hours to $550 for a student who should have completed the program already.

In order to receive aid students were required by the Department of Education to be Title IV eligible. They were required to submit the a form that contained the following information:
